Chapel Close Room

Named after the field which it overlooks (all the fields at Melcombe have names), the Chapel Close Room colours are muted blues and beiges and off-whites and stripes - some say with shades of Provence.

Distressed white wooden furniture, and wrought iron bedstead reinforce this thought, but in fact it is mostly a reinvention of Lorel's bedroom in Chelsea before Michael lured her to deepest Dorset!

The top floor was completely refurbished in 2008, and gives a complete contrast to the oak panelled bedrooms elsewhere. The ensuite bathroom is surprisingly spacious, with a decent fixed-head shower over the bath, heated towel rail, and plenty of surface space to put your own bits and bobs. Even a heated cupboard with lots of spare fluffy towels and a cabinet full of scented goodies. You can arrive and be comfy with just your toothbrush - though even those are supplied.
